The Oracle

Move over crap home made coffee…the home espresso machine just keeps getting better!   Super celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal is standing behind Brevilles new invention, the “Oracle”.

What does that actually mean?  Well, it means you can have the real deal …. without leaving home!

The food thinking team at Breville set itself a challenge to design a machine that provides the taste we coffee lovers crave, without needing the professional expertise of a barista.  Enter The Oracle, which is the multi-award winning, world’s first automatic manual coffee machine. By automating the most complex parts of espresso making – grinding, dosing, tamping and milk texturing – the Oracle can make two true café quality cappuccinos or lattes in as little as 90 seconds.

Most recently awarded an internationally acclaimed 2015 IF Design Award, and the recipient of an Australian Good Design Award 2014, judges’ comments have included that ‘fit, finish and material selection and overall construction of this product is as good as it gets.’

In development and testing for three and a half years, the Oracle is the pinnacle of Australian domestic espresso machine design.

You can learn more about the Oracle at, which includes videos, in-store demonstration dates and interactive product information. With a new mobile friendly format, everything Oracle is available on any smart phone. You can also check eligibility for the unique White Glove Service, which provides one-on-one in-home training to ensure new users know the machine inside and out.

Besides drinking, just imagine making this for dessert!  Dark chocolate espresso pumpkin bread with salted caramel sauce!

I’m loving this machine.

The Oracle® (BES980) automatic manual espresso machine by Breville retails at $2,499 rrp.
